Romancing the stars - Mayuri Upadhya

Image
What makes these charismatic personalities go weak in the knees?

MAYURI UPADHYA, 30, DANCER

What is. . .
The movie that sets the mood?
Fool Rush In

Your idea of a romantic wedding?
At dawn or dusk, next to a river bed, hymns, and celebration.

The most romantic destination?
The Himalayas. I think it’s the ultimate.

Idea of romance
It could be anything. Holding hands during a movie, tight hugs from my husband after a good show, sharing a cup of tea when it’s raining. Simple expressions of love and great companionship.

My wooing style
It’s changed with time. At the moment, I would give him a chance to miss me. Then follow this up with good food, humour and, of course, ‘the look’.

Showing affection
I’m extremely moody. Being an artist, I look on it as my birthright. But when I’m in a good mood, there’s no stopping me. Which means I can be very affectionate and demonstrative.

Romantic spot
I’ll be happy if someone can find one for me in this city today. But, it doesn’t actually have to be a physical space for me, because the weather is always playing cupid for us.
